What Toronto dental veneers can change
Deep or stubborn stains
Professional whitening works well for surface stains, but some discoloration, from medications, fluorosis, or years of dietary habits, doesn’t respond to bleaching. Veneers create a uniform, bright surface that holds its colour long-term.
Chips and cracks
A chipped front tooth affects how your smile reads in photos and in person. Veneers restore the shape and edges precisely, matching the size and tone of your surrounding teeth.
Gaps and spacing
Minor gaps between front teeth that don’t require orthodontic treatment can often be closed with veneers, creating a continuous, even appearance across your smile.
Uneven length or shape
When teeth are naturally shorter, worn, or irregularly shaped, veneers restore the proportions of your smile — creating the symmetry and balance that make a smile look genuinely attractive.
The veneer process at Canary Dental
01
Consultation & Imaging
Dr. Lamba meets with you to understand your goals. We capture a precise 3D digital scan of your teeth using our iTero technology, giving you a clear preview of what your result could look like before a single tooth is touched.
02
Custom Design
Your veneers are designed digitally first, with shade, shape, and proportion tailored specifically to your face and your goals. This blueprint guides the fabrication at the dental lab.
03
Minimal Prep
A very thin layer of enamel is removed from the front surface of the teeth receiving veneers, typically less than a millimetre. Temporaries are placed while your permanent veneers are crafted.
04
Placement & Bonding
At your final appointment, Dr. Lamba places and adjusts each veneer, checks your bite and aesthetics together, and bonds them permanently. You leave with a finished result.
What to expect with cost and insurance
Toronto dental veneers are considered a cosmetic procedure and are generally not covered by insurance plans. The cost per veneer depends on the number of teeth being treated and the complexity of the case.
At Canary Dental, we’ll walk you through the investment clearly at your consultation — no surprises. Our team can also help you explore financing options that spread the cost over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years or more with proper care. The biggest factors are your bite, home hygiene, and whether you grind your teeth (a night guard may be recommended to protect them).
Do veneers look natural?
Yes, when designed with care, porcelain veneers match the translucency and shade of natural teeth. The goal at Canary Dental is always a result that looks like your best self, not obviously "done."
How many veneers do I need?
It depends on your goals and which teeth are visible in your smile. Cases commonly involve 6–8 front teeth, though some patients choose fewer. Dr. Lamba will help you identify the approach that creates a balanced, seamless result.
Will my teeth be sensitive after?
Some patients notice increased sensitivity for a week or two after the enamel is prepared. This typically resolves once the veneers are bonded. Dr. Lamba will discuss your individual risk level at your consultation.
Can veneers be removed?
Because a small amount of enamel is removed during prep, veneers are considered a permanent commitment; the teeth will always need to be covered by a restoration. This is why the design conversation matters: you want to love the result for the long run.
